Infinitris is now available on Android
Hello everyone!
In Short: Infinitris is now available on Android too: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aa.infinitris
The game was originally written in Java (with libGDX) back in 2015 in like a week. I always thought about doing a bit more with it, but I never got around to it. After not having been touched for many years, the old project was not in a state that would just run, and needed an overhaul. I could have upgraded the project to a more recent version of libGDX, but since I've been using libGDX less and less I decided to use it as a learning experience and port it over to Godot instead. That went quicker than I assumed it would. I mostly re-created it as faithfully as possible, however I changed the music to be more on the safe side legally.
Now that I have a working project again, I was able to easily do an Android export. With Godot it's now also straightforward to provide a Windows "exe" build instead of only providing a "jar" file for download which many people don't even know what to do with. I also updated the Web version to be on par with the other versions.
This game is dear to my heart, so I'm happy I can give it some attention again.
I don't know if anyone else wanted this on their phone as badly as me, but here it is anyway. Hope you enjoy it.
Cheers,
Anton
